Exam preparation in Windhoek

Focused, calm exam preparation for IGCSE, NSSCO, CAPS and IEB learners sitting maths and physics. We turn the final weeks before exams into predictable improvement — past papers, timed practice and the mark-scheme habits that convert knowledge into marks.

The last few weeks before an exam are different

In the final term, regular tutoring changes focus. Content gaps are still fixed, but the bigger gains usually come from speed, layout, and decision-making under exam conditions.

Learners sit full past-paper simulations with the same timing, silence and pressure as the real exam. We then mark the paper line by line against the mark scheme — not just "right or wrong", but "would an examiner have given the mark?"

The result is a short, ranked revision list: the handful of topics that will move the mark band if worked on in the remaining days, rather than a broad and overwhelming re-study of the whole syllabus.

How exam preparation is structured

  • Diagnostic mock paper

A recent past paper sat under timed conditions so we can rank weak topics by mark impact.

  • Gap-closing sessions

Targeted lessons on the specific errors that keep recurring across different papers.

  • Timed paper practice

Learners practise choosing which questions to attempt, managing time and keeping working legible.

  • Mark-scheme discipline

Units, rounding, method statements and layout: the small habits that cost big marks.

Frequently asked

Questions about exam preparation tutoring

When should my child start exam preparation tutoring?

Ideally six to eight weeks before the first exam paper. That leaves time for one or two full mock exams under timed conditions, plus focused revision on the topics that cost marks.

Do you work with past papers?

Yes. We use recent past papers from IGCSE, NSSCO, CAPS and IEB syllabi, then mark them together and identify the recurring mistake patterns.

Do you cover exam technique as well as content?

Absolutely. Many learners know the work but lose marks on layout, units, significant figures and time management. We practise how to show working in a way that examiners award full marks for.

Where does exam preparation take place?
